Citizens of Bedford, please vote YES on Article 2 at the Tuesday, March 14th town polls.
Article 2 creates a Bedford Charter Commission for the “…sole purpose of establishing official ballot voting” on the Bedford Town Budget.
Last year 5105 voters had their say on literally every other measure requiring voter approval; from town ordinances to the $80 million dollar school budget.
Only 70 people attended the town meeting, the next night, to raise their hands and vote on the nearly $40 million dollar Bedford Town Budget.
Local government is supposed to work for you, and the thousands of citizens who show up to vote on the second Tuesday of March deserve to see our town budget on the ballot.
Vote YES on Article 2, and vote for nine Charter Commissioners who trust you, the Bedford voter, to make the choice on how we approve budgets in Bedford.
